SIF Kuwait all set for the Third Edition of Sastra Prathibha Contest

SIF Kuwait gears up for its 3rd edition of Sastra Prathibha Contest 2016-17. The contest is scheduled to be held at the participating schools on 12th January 2017. The one hour objective type exam follows the pattern as 40% from the given syllabus, 40% from the existing academic curriculum, 10% analytical and logical and 10% general knowledge questions. The successful participation of Kuwait team at 24th National Children’s Science Congress 2016 held at VIIT Maharashtra adds to the enthusiasm among the students for yet another scientific venture. The six member NCSC delegation from Kuwait was led by Mrs. Sindhu Ashok, (Faculty, Bhavans Kuwait) and Mrs. Mary Gomez (Faculty, Bhavans Kuwait). The participating teams were given guidance by the senior Indian scientists from Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). The program was organized by the Department of Science and technology, Government of India. Nearly 700 child scientists participated in the five day long NCSC held at Vidyapratisthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Baramati, Maharashtra in December. Children from all over the country and student delegations from Middle East took part in the congress.

The unprecedented response received for the Sastra Prathibha contest makes it one of the largest and most prestigious titles in Kuwait. Winning students are given opportunity to have personal interaction with the living legends of Indian Science.
