Kuwait Kerala Islamic Center (KKIC) organizing 4th Islamic Seminar

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Kuwait Kerala Islamic Center (KKIC) is organizing the 4th Islamic Seminar at the Garden Ground, near Farwaniya Municipal Office, under the aegis of the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Kuwait, from the 23rd to the 26th of February, 2017. Islam the Religion of Serenity is the theme of the conference this year. The objective of the conference is to present the tenets of Islam to the public and clarify misconceptions regarding the faith in the prevailing global circumstances.

The previous seminars were held in 2006, 2010 and 2014, and this is a continuation of those events. The seminar includes programs aimed at the Malayali Muslim, non-Muslim and non-Malayali expatriates, in addition to an exhibition titled Science Visual Arcade. KKIC invites everyone to benefit from the seminar beyond religious and partisan lines.

Theme of the Seminar
In a world torn with war and calamities, where governments are shunning the victims and the masses are suffering under the bondage of man-made ideologies, we believe that the real solutions rest in returning to the true guidance of the creator.

However, the divine guidance of Islam that provides solutions to all the problems of mankind is grossly misunderstood as the embodiment of terrorism. People are misled by media and other institutions who attempt to present a wrong version of Islam through examples of fringe elements who misinterpret the religion for their vested interests. This year’s seminar has chosen as its theme as ‘Islam, the religion of serenity’ in order to clear these misconceptions and drive home the idea that Islam, contrary to the prevailing imageries, is a religion that provides serenity in all walks of life.

Science Visual Arcade
For those who look at the world objectively from a rationalistic viewpoint, there are numerous startling phenomena all around. The Science Visual Arcade provides a great opportunity for such seekers of truth to interact, ask and learn from a scientific, religious and philosophical angle, spanning all four days of the seminar. The exhibition opens a vista to the current generation who are caught up in a rat race for materialistic pleasures and sheds light on the true meaning and objective of life. We request everyone to visit the pavilion and benefit from it. The exhibit provide inspiring insights into higher questions such as man’s creation, life, death, lessons from the fate of ancient communities, scientific facts in the scriptures and others. We will also be hosting guidance and counselling sessions for those who need them. The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Sunil Jain on the Feb 23rd evening.
Exhibition timings
Feb 23 – 8 pm to 10 pm
Feb 24-26 – 8 am to 10 pm
