ASSE Kuwait Chapter Conducted “Authorized Gas Tester” training

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter in coordination with TUV Nord Middle East, organized a training program on “Authorized Gas Tester”. The program was conducted on 24th February 2017 at ASSE Kuwait Chapter’s training Hall, Souk Sabah, Fahaheel, State of Kuwait.

American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter is Kuwait’s premier voluntary & non-profit organization providing professional guidance, training and consultancy; in the field of Health, Safety and Environment; to the industrial and social sectors in the region. ASSE Kuwait Chapter continuously organizes training on various HSE related topics, adhering to its solid social commitment by enhancing the knowledge inventory.
The gas tester role is critical to ensure safe working conditions in permit controlled confined space or for hot work activities. This is one of the most needed training by Oil & Gas Companies around the world. It was carried out through a 3rd Party agency which is approved by many Companies in Kuwait and in Middle East.
Mr. Ramu Muvvala, Deputy head of ASSE Kuwait Chapter’s Training Committee, inaugurated the program & briefed about the day’s program. The chapter president, Mr. Rama Krushna Chary welcomed the participants and briefed about the chapter’s role in enhancing the career among ASSE members, and introduced Mr. Mohamed Maher Abd-Elrahman Eltemamy, the trainer for the session. Mr. Mohamed Maher Abd-Elrahman Eltemamy, an authorized trainer, has a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and possess many international certification in various HSE training and consulting like ( GradIOSH), IDipOSH , NEBOSH EnvDip ,Dip.RSA & He is NEBOSH , IOSH ,CIEH, IIRSM, IADC ,NEHA ,NSC.

The training turned out to be very helpful for the safety professionals in their career, especially in Oil and gas industries where the risk of flammable and toxic atmosphere is very high. The participants, who emerged successful in the assessment; received certificate & pocket cards. Twenty three ASSE Members utilized this distinct opportunity and benefited from the program.
