National Forum (NAFO-Kuwait) Ladies Wing reconstituted

National Forum (NAFO-Kuwait) democratically and unanimously re-constituted its Ladies Wing during ‘Kudumbasangamam’, conducted on February 17th, 2017, at the Indian Community School auditorium, Amman branch.This organizational task was successfully executed with the initiative of Out-gone LWCC and under the guidance of NAFO Advisory Board. A large number of NAFO family members attended and witnessed this event. An overwhelming number of 17 ladies voluntarily offered to serve as members of the new Ladies Wing Coordination Committee, having its new tenure of three years. Smt. Jayalakshmi Promod was elected as the Chief Coordinator, Smt. Sreekala Dileep as Vice-Coordinator, Mrs. Giji Unnikrishnan, Smt. Sreela Raviprasad, Smt. Sreevidya Dileepkumar, Smt. Sreeranjini Ajay, Smt. Reshma Subodh, Dr. Asha N. Menon, Smt. Shyama Nandakumar, Smt. Aruna Rajagopal, Smt. Sreelatha Sreejayan, Smt. Bindu Bipin, Smt. Smriti Vinayan, Smt. Sunanda Rajeev, Smt. Sheeba Shaiju, Smt. Beena Venugopal and Smt. Darsana Jayadevan were elected as coordinators to the NAFO LWCC. Outgoing Ladies Wing Committee chief co-ordinator Smt. Smitha Sashikumar presented a detailed activity report and widely appreciated for their commendable contributions for the past three year tenure and also for the initiatives taken for the smooth re-constitution of the new committee. Chief Coordinator, Smt. Jayalakshmi Promod, while assuming the responsibility mentioned that the new ladies wing in accordance with the set policies of NAFO would perform its duties with a new outlook through unique ideas and contribute maximum towards its socio-cultural activities of NAFO. It was mentioned that a meeting of the new ladies wing will soon be convened in order to plan programs mainly to revitalize NAFO Gurukulam so as to educate and empower children with India’s traditional culture, civilization, philosophical values and social principles. NAFO Kuwait is a non profit, non political socio-welfare organization, registered with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait (INDEMB/KWT/ASSN/94) serving the Indian Community in Kuwait and back in India for the last thirteen years.
