Health official supports proposal for charging medicine prices from expats

Director of Hawalli Health Zone, Dr. Fahad Al-Fodari expressed his support to the proposal of charging medicine costs from expatriates. According to Al Rai newspaper, he expressed his view of charging medicine cost or at least part of it from expatriates.

According to him, majority of visitors to Hawalli Health Centres are expatriates. He also said that more than 60% of visitors to Mubarak Hospital are expatriates.

Meanwhile, he also said that there should be a strict control on private sector to avoid manipulation of prices.
