Indian team finished 2nd in Ice Hockey Challenge Cup held in Kuwait

Indian team finished 2nd in International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Challenge Cup of Asia Division I held in Kuwait city. The host country Kuwait won the championship in the final match played yesterday at Ice Skating Rink, Kuwait City.

India won 2 out of the 3 games they had to play and took the 2nd position. In an earlier match, India came up on top against Oman with a close 3-2 victory over their gulf rivals. They scored two decisive goals in the third period, taking them closer to winning the title. In India’s second match, India scored 5 against Kuwait’s 8.

Indian Ice Hockey Team ride on the sheer will of 22 young Indian players from the Himalayan region. They invest their own money, their parents’ savings, and the support of their well-wishers, meagre sponsorships to proudly wear the Indian jersey in international arena and force the world to stand up and take note of their talent.
