R. Ramesh Memorial Diaspora Award to Shri EM Kabeer-KALA-Kuwait

Shri. EM Kabeer, noted social worker based on Saudi Arabia is chosen for R.Ramesh Memorial Diaspora Award for the year 2017. KALA-Kuwait constituted this yearly award from the year 2014 in the name of Late R. Ramesh, one of the mentors of KALA-Kuwait demised in the year 2012. The award consist of Rs. 25,000/- and a citation. The awardee is chosen efforts in the area of charity and social work.

Shri E M Kabeer has been in the forefront for charity and social activities among the expatriate community for the past 30 years eastern province of Saudi Arabia. He led many campaigns in Dammam among our society including cancer patients and other ailments offering support in all levels.

Hailing from Poonthura, Thiruvananthapuram, Kabeer has worked in various capacities as President, Charity Wing Secretary etc. of Progressive Unity of Dammam Navodaya. Currently he adorns Navodaya as one of its Patrons.

The award will be conferred to Shri Kabeer by Hon Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly Sreeramakrishnan in the program of KALA-Kuwait Mayookham on 19 May 2017 at Qadsiya Sporting Club.
