Municipality to tighten up inspections ahead of Ramadan

Kuwait Municipality to tighten supervision and inspection of shops and co-ops that directly deal with consumers in selling foodstuff, especially since Ramadan is approaching.

Municipal Council member and Chairman of the technical committee Fahd Al-Sane said some callous workers and foodstuff traders use the holy month to sell expired food because of people’s increased purchasing power. He said the municipality must activate hotlines to receive consumers’ complaints in case of any cheating or sale of goods unfit for human consumption.
