Arpan Kuwait conducted family get together and bids farewell to Mr. P.A. Menon

Arpan Kuwait had given an emotional farewell on last Thursday to their founder member, Ex President and Advisory Board Chairman Mr. P.A, Menon who is leaving to India after his 40 years long and successful service in Kuwait. He retires as a main dealer – Treasury from Central Bank of Kuwait. Shri P.A. Menon graced the event with his wife, daughter and son-in-law.

The family get-together and send-off gathering was organized in Kala- Auditorium Salmiya. It was enriched by the presence of association members and their friends and families.

The function with an atmosphere filled with emotions and sentiments was presided by association President Mr. Suresh KP. General Secretary Mr. Rafi Padiyath delivered welcome speech. Cultural Secretary Anil Attuva gave a briefing about the event. Arpan Members also gave a big salute to Late Toyota Sunny. One-minute silent prayer was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul who did Kuwait society a great service. Arpan also paid tribute to its member who passed away recently Late Shri Anil Raj.

President in his address highlighted the contribution of Shri P.A. Menon to the Kuwait Society. Mr. P.A. Menon had served Arpan relentlessly in the various posts over the last 18 years and his contribution to the Kuwait society in general was immense. Arpan advisory board members Mohan K Iyer and Krishnan K Pillai also honored PA Menon

Arpan Treasurer Shri S.P Ganesh, Vice President Shri Mahadevan, Arpan Found member Sam Vilanilam spoke about Mr. P.A. Menon’s Contribution to Arpan and society. Other eminent in Society, Shri Rajan Daniel, Shri Sam Paynammodu, Shri Labha, Shri Joy Mundakkad, Shri Sivadas Mullassery, Shri Manoj Mavelikkara, Shri Binu P.G (President, OMWA), Shri Sajeev K Peter(Kuwait times), Shri Saji Janardanan(President, Kala), Shri Sajiv Narayan (President, Saradhi), Smt Rajeswari Subbaraman and Shri Subbaraman spoke about Mr. P.A. Menon as wonderful human being and also praised his selfless services, dedication on association activities and wished him a very best for his all future endeavor and a good health. On behalf of Arpan Kuwait. During his initial days in Kuwait, Mr. P.A. Menon served the society of Kuwait through other organizations like United Malayali and Overseas Malayali association. He held prominent posts in these organizations and had contributed to society at large.

Arpan President Mr. Suresh KP presented a memento to Mr. P.A Menon and wished him and his family all the very best. Arpan Children conducted various cultural activities to make the event bright.

Mr. P.A. Menon in his reply speech enumerated the importance of Arpan’s service to the community and its members. He then thanked all the members for their support and prayers. The program was concluded by vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Venkatakrishnan, PRO of Arpan Kuwait.
