Fodder fire near Salemy controlled

The huge fire that broke out at an open area used for storying fodder at km. 1 of Al-Salemy highway last night was controlled, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) announced Wednesday. Fire engines from Al-Jahra, Al-Ardiya and Al-Salemy rushed to the site and battled the fire that spread across 7,000 sq. km. No casualties or injuries were reported, said KFSD in a statement, adding that damage was only material.
