Two tunnels to open this Friday in Jahra road project

Assistant Undersecretary for Road Engineering Affairs at Ministry of Public Works Eng Ahmad Al-Hissan declared that the ministry will open two tunnels this Friday which are part of the projects for development of Jamal Abdulnasser and Jahra roads.

Eng Al-Hissan explained that the first tunnel is at the intersection of Jamal Abdulnasser Road and Second Ring Road on the side of Shuwaikh Power Station (A) until Kuwait City. The second tunnel will be on both ways of Jahra Road opposite Kuwait Sports Club.

He indicated that the opening of the two tunnels is part of the ministry’s policy for partial opening of completed parts of road projects in order to ease traffic congestion caused by the projects as well as to avoid waiting until the projects are completed in a bid to attain maximum benefit of the road network development project.

Eng Al-Hissan affirmed that the two tunnels will create a quality change in the traffic flow on those roads and also will positively affect the areas alongside these roads.
