Violating ‘Disabled parking’ will lead to suspension of transactions

Friday, July 28, 2017

The violation of parking in places allocated for disabled people is now become a punishable criminal act and any such cases may lead to a block on the transactions of the concerned citizens or expatriates, local daily reported.

According to report, the process agreed upon is that traffic men will issue a traffic citation on vehicles that parked in a place reserved for disabled people. A block will be placed on the transactions of the concerned citizens or expatriates, preventing them from completing their transactions at Ministry of Interior including renewal of passport or drivers’ license, car insurance, renewal of residencies of domestic workers by Kuwaitis, and renewal of residencies for expatriates.

Citizens and residents should check with the General Investigations Department and receive a report stating that interrogations on the misdemeanor have been completed and referred to the judiciary. It will then take a week or two for the removal of the block.
