Indian Veterans Association (IVA) celebrated Inaugural Function and 71st Independence Day

A Group of Veterans (Ex-servicemen of Indian-Army, Navy and Airforce) celebrated its (IVA) INAUGURAL FUNCTION and 71st INDEPENDENCE DAY on 18th August 2017 at Sangeetha auditorium Mangaf. President Rathish Thachanat welcomed all to the auspicious occasion followed by the presidential address where he highlighted the aim and objectives of the association also applauded for the individuals especially Veteran MP. Baburaj (Indian air force) Veteran Sreeraj Cheerath (Indian Navy) Veteran Gopakumar (Indian army) those who took immense effort to rise such a great occasion. The Guest of honour, 1971 Bangladesh liberation war Veteran Lieutenant PC George Indian Navy was the chief guest who lighten the traditional lamp and revealed the IVA Logo .While inaugurating he emphasized Abraham Lincoln’s famous speech by saying the associations success is applicable when the association becomes an association of its members by the members, and for the members. Patron Veteran wing commander RS Subramanian also addressed the veterans with his motivational speech. Invited guest from Center for India Studies Mr. Raj Bhandari gave an excellent speech on Independence Day followed by the colorful Cultural program arranged by the children of Center for India Studies consist of various items include classical dances, Indian Patriotic Songs Group dance, and very entertaining Chenda Melam performed by Keli Vadya Kala Peedom. The program was convened by Sreeraj cheerath. Treasurer MP Baburaj extended the vote of thanks to each and every one also to all the veterans members for their valuable contribution which made the event very successful.
