Health Ministry to ‘axe’ 20 expats

Health Minister Dr Jamal Al-Harbi will issue a decision this week to terminate the services of 20 expatriate accountants and employees, local Arabic news paper Al-Qabas daily reported quoting sources.

According to report, this step was taken as these expatriates were suspected of involvement in corruption and wastage of public funds. These expatriates are assigned in the financial, administrative, engineering and overseas treatment departments in the Health Ministry.
