Integrated Indian School paid tribute to Father of the Nation

On 2nd October 2017 Integrated Indian School celebrated the 149th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. It was a grand celebration in which the students participated with great zeal and zest. The occasion was graced by our esteem Director Mr. Anubhav Mehrotra by his valuable presence, Manager Mr. Mohammed Ali graced this occasion. A special assembly was conducted, portraying the importance and significance of Gandhi Jayanti which is a national festival in India. The assembly was preceded by Quran recitation and translation, followed by Kuwait and Indian National Anthems. Song and dance performances by the students, depicted the theme of Gandhi Jayanti in an incredible manner.

The quotes by Gandhi ji brought forward by the students illustrated the virtues of non-violence, tolerance, humility, forgiveness and peace which was preached and practiced by Bapu throughout his life. The assembly was concluded by an inspirational speech by our Principal Mr. Arul Dharmaraj Thomas in which he shared some anecdotes from Gandhi Ji’s life story. It was not just a celebration but a humble gesture by the students to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation for his selfless contributions in India’s Independence struggle.
