Non Resident Keralites’ Welfare Board to launch elaborate campaign: Director

Non Resident Keralites’ Welfare Board is planning to campaign its various welfare schemes in Kuwait and targets to enroll 100,000 in the pension scheme within one year in Kuwait. N Ajith Kumar, Director was explaining various schemes of the board in a press conference, convened recently.

He stated that the LDF Government in Kerala is offering tremendous support for expatriates. In the last span of one year, more than 70,000 people were enrolled in the pension scheme. The pension scheme was enhanced recently with a monthly pension of 2000 rupees and programs such as Expatriate Village in Kerala, a housing scheme, complete digitalization of the board, online remittance schemes, Complete Census on expatriates and to create data base etc are in the anvil by the Government.

Ajith Kumar explained further that the board intends launch elaborate campaign in Kuwait in cooperation with Kerala based socio cultural associations working in the community and a meeting will be convened for these associations to explain the features of the schemes. The meeting of the office bearers and community leaders will be on 14 October 2017 at Orma Plaza Auditorium, Abbassiya from 6.30 pmAjith Kumar appealed all associations to participate in the meeting and to promote the useful Government Schemes, especially the efforts on enrolling 100,000 new members to the pension scheme, from Kuwait.

Kala Kuwait office bearers who were present in the press conference, explained its plan to launch “My vegetable garden” completion and “Rainbow-2017” the drawings and paining competition for Indian School Children on 10 November 2017 at Al-Jawahara Girls School, Reggaei, Kuwait.
