Liquor factory busted

Officers from the Public Security sector raided a liquor factory in Sabah Al-Ahmad area, arrested two Asian expatriates and confiscated 140 barrels filled with liquor, and equipment used for manufacturing liquor.

According to local report, when the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah received information about two Asian expatriates involved in manufacturing liquor in Sabah Al-Ahmad area, a security team was formed for investigations.

After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the factory was raided and the two suspects were arrested.

When questioned, the suspects confessed that they have been selling locally manufactured liquor to their clients at a cost of KD 8-10 per bottle.
