The students of ICSK Junior celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights with immense joy and enthusiasm.

A series of special assemblies were held to mark this festival. The assembly commenced with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the school prayer.

The thought for the day, that is, celebrate a safe Diwali while maintaining the beauty of nature, was a reminder to the children to celebrate the occasion in an ecofriendly way. The celebration of Diwali ‘’The festival of lights’’ came alive at ICSK Junior as the children dressed up as various characters from the Ramayana replicated Lord Rama’s reunion and return to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana in a battle, through a wonderful skit. A melodious song and mesmerizing dance was performed by the students to showcase the spirit of the festival. The children, who explained the significance of Diwali, stressed that light symbolized knowledge.

The stage was lit with many “Diyas” to bring more light to the celebration. Mrs. Sheeja Ravi, Vice-Principal congratulated the participants and advised them to be the light of the world with their good deeds and thoughts.

Principal Mrs. Sherly Dennis addressed the assembly and shared a few words of wisdom.
