Building's occupants evacuated due to crack after earthquake

Monday, November 13, 2017

Firefighters evacuated a building in the Sabah al-Salem area early today after a crack in part of the building following the earthquake that took place yesterday night.

The residents were evacuated at dawn today due to the crack in one side of the building, the KFSD said indicating that only occupants of the part where the crack was located had to leave their houses.

The crack might have been caused by yesterday's tremors, resulting from the 7.5 earthquake that jolted Iraqi-Iranian border areas. The regional quake caused 4-5 degrees tremors in Kuwait.

The General Fire Department assured citizens and residents that authorities has taken all measures to protect life and property. Authorities assured that there is no cause for concern about the earthquake that hit neighboring countries.
