North Kanara Association - Kuwait organized "NKA-K Family Sports Day"

North Kanara Association - Kuwait organized their Annual event, an exciting and fun filled "NKA-K Family Sports Day" on Friday 24th November, 2017 at Mina Abdulla, Kuwait. Attractions of the day were Cricket Tournament, Volley Ball, games for ladies, men and children. Entry was open to all, with no restriction of age, religion or nationality.

It was more of a get together to bring together members of the Association, especially the bachelors living in camp areas, for social interaction with fellow members. Under the able leadership of the NKA-K President Mr. John Fernandes and the support of the Committee members, the event was peacefully and successfully organized.

The team “ BOOM BOOM BOYS” bagged the Winners' Trophy for Cricket and “BOOM BOOM BOYS” won the Volley Ball Trophy. The Winners, Runners-up and the outstanding players of various Teams were awarded with Trophies, cash prizes and certificates. The President Mr. John Fernandes felicitated some of the volunteers who had worked very hard in the background during the tournament with medals. Several other prizes were given away by Committee Members.

Mr. Khalid Al Khalidi, Head of Computer & Telecomm Center in KISR, ICT Systems Consultant in Ministry of Planning, Manager Occupational & Environmental Safety, DDKS project, who was a Guest of Honor gave away the Winners' Trophy to the winning champions of Cricket. Mr. Khalid Al Khalidi who has been handling exemplary posts in the Govt. as well as private sectors all along, addressed the audience and spoke of his preference to attend this event, while he had other priority commitments on the same day. A humility which touched the audience who had gathered.

Special thanks to Mr. Joseph Fernandes (Siddapur), Mr. Sameer and Mr. Andrew Fernandes, for cooking delicious breakfast and lunch and to Mr. Bastyanv Noronha who did a wonderful job in capturing the entire event.
