FAIPS- DPS hosts an Eye-Opener in Career Counselling

In a pioneering approach FAIPS conducted Career Guidance Sessions for the students and parents of grades IX to XI. Renowned Career Counsellor, Mr. Jitin Chawla was invited from New Delhi, India to conduct Counselling Sessions for students and parents from 17th to 19th December, 2017.

The Counselling sessions were preceded by Online Aptitude Tests taken up by students at school pertaining to various career options. The key-note speaker,Mr. Jitin Chawla stressed upon the need to identify a child’s passion and talent before deciding upon his career. He highlighted the various domains of education and subject combinations which suit a particular career. The session aimed to help a child make the best use of his abilities and design his career accordingly. Various Universities were suggested in India, Istanbul, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Germany and many more countries which provide world-class education.

Emphasis was laid upon matching a child’s ambition, skills and competencies with the best market opportunities. Also alternative, dynamic and emerging career options were suggested to the students.

The Counselling Session was followed by an interactive session wherein various queries from the audience were taken up and guidelines were provided by the Counsellor. The session was highly fruitful for students to realise that it is never too early to plan a career.
