IDAK Elects New Executive Council for 2018-19

The Annual General Body meeting of Indian Dentists’ Alliance in Kuwait was held on 15th December 2017 at Hotel Holiday Downtown and elected the executive council for the new term of 2018-19.

The new team will be headed by Dr. Shaheer Malik, an Orthodontist hailing from Kozhikode in Kerala and working in KOC Hospitals, Ahmadi. He will be ably assisted by Vice President, Dr. Seema Samuel (Periodontist in Balsam Dental Clinic, Jleeb Al Shoukh), General Secretary, Dr. George P Alex , (Endodontist in Farwaniya Dental Centre), Joint Secretaries Dr. Bobby Joseph Thomas (Orthodontist at New Abha Dental Centre, Farwaniya) & Dr. Jayashree Dexith (Oral Surgeon at Maidan Dental Centre) and Treasurer Dr. Pramod Menon (Endodontist at School Oral Health Program). The President Elect Dr. Rajesh Alexander (Endodontist, MOH Kuwait) and Immediate Past President, Dr. Jitendra Ariga (Director, School Oral Health Program) completes the Executive Council of IDAK for new term.

Earlier President, Dr. Jitendra Ariga presided over the General Body and thanked everyone for the tremendous support offered during his term. General Secretary, Dr. Jijan Sam Thomas presented the Activity Report for the term, 2016-17 while Treasurer, Dr. Dilip George presented the audited accounts for the term. Dr. Roy Francis acted as the Electoral Officer for the election of the new office bearers. Joint Secretary, Dr. Roshila George presented the amendments for IDAK Constitution and Vice President, Dr. Shalin Thomas proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The executive committee members were presented with mementos for their untiring efforts in the past two years.

The AGM was followed by a well organized in-house cultural show, CAMO 2017 which enthralled the audience. The program was well organized by the Cultural Committee and Event Management Committees of IDAK.
