20 gamblers arrested in Jleeb and refereed for deportation

Police acting on a tip-off recently raided an apartment in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and arrested 20 gamblers and referred them to the concerned authority.

According to reports in Al-Anba daily, preparations are underway to deport them.

A police source said the apartment was put under surveillance for several days before police taking a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution finally barged into one of the rooms and arrested the men.

Report also added that the apartment was run by two Asians and each gambler before starting play had to pay KD 1 entry fee. The ‘gambling den’ opened at 11 pm and closed at 3:00 am.
