“If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is INDIA”.

WE BEGAN, NON-STOPPING… FOUGHT AND GAINED…TRUTH AND NON VIOLENCE BOUNDED US..... FORMULATED AND FOLLOWED THE INDIAN CONSTITUION, AND TODAY WE ARE INDIANS.

Republic day honours the date on which the constitution of India came into effect on 26th January 1950.

The headed heroes of our nation fought together, shed their blood, became the martyrs, gained freedom for our nation and made us a united republic. Today, we need to look back to those highnesses.

Mahatma Gandhi said,

“My life is my message. “

India’s struggle from the period of Vasco Da Gama is very familiar to all of us. India, then and now rich in its heritage was always an attraction to foreigners. Unlike many faults, the greatest fault that our ancestors did, was to believe foreigners as they were. The real motives of British were not understood by our people and our country, was captured by them. Our ancestors lived in the constant terror and worked as unpaid slaves under the feet of rude British officials.

Many worked, struggled, prayed and all united in opposition and we have gained freedom from the bonds that held us tight.

India made a great remarkable progress in the life span of many years. Announcements of schemes like ‘Make in India’, ‘Start-up India’, ‘Stand-up India’ and MUDRA will not mean much to the millions of toiling millions, especially in India’s rural areas if we do not see development from a perspective that is different from a blind pursuit of income growth alone. The planned structure of a proper constitution, The Constitutional rights,The three fold distribution system of governments, decentralization, reserved constituencies for the disadvantaged categories… all united our democratic India. Nevertheless, to think about the government welfare and social interventions of our country.

India has become one of the SOCIAL capitals too. Self -evolved people unite and take decisions. Everyone is guaranteed equal voices in our democracy. Compassion, humanism, spirit of enquiry, humour..all has come to existence.

Now, let’s look into the achievements and dark moments of our country, India.

The Achievements of India:

•1947-India became independent from British rule

•1950-India became a republic

•1974-India became the 6th nation to explode an atomic bomb

•1975-India launched 1st satellite with the help of USSR

•1980-Rohini I, first Indian satellite launched into orbit

•1994-Sushmita Sen of India crowned to 43rd Miss Universe

•1994-Aishwarya Rai crowned as 44th Miss Universe

•2008-India launched its 1st unnamed lunar mission, Chandrayaan I

•June 22, 2016-ISRO has launched 20 satellites at one go

•15th Feb, 2017- ISRO created a history by launching 104 satellites on board, a flight of Polar satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)

We might be progressing every day, investing in infrastructure and aiming to make our cities smart. But on history has some moments that used to be understood in their entirety for us to become truly developed, not just in terms of strength, but one social conditions and loss as well.
Dark moments of India:

•Partition of India and Pakistan

•Bhopal Gas Tragedy

•Kargil war- 1999

•Mumbai Terrorist attack

•2008 Delhi Bombings

•2011 Soumya Rape and Murder case

•Nirbhaya Rape and murder Case- 2012

•2013 Mumbai Gang Rape

•2015 Kandhamal Rape case

•2018 Zainab Rape case

And the list goes on…. It’s time to change our mindsets.

On this special day, lets promise our motherland that we will do everything to enrich and preserve our heritage, our ethos and our treasure.
Nothing should stop us.

To the contrary,

“BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THIS WORLD AND BE PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN.”

JAI HIND….!!
