“SARGOTSAV 2018” Organized by Mar Athanasius College of Engineering Alumni Association (MACEAA) Kuwait Chapter

Mr. V. K. Mathews, the Founder and Executive Chairman of IBS group - the pioneering software Company in the aviation industry, was the Chief Guest of SARGOTSAV 2018. An alumnus of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Mathews is globally recognized for his IT solutions in air transport industry.

The 14th edition of Kuwait Engineers Forum (KEF) Inter Alumni Children’s Arts Festival “SARGOTSAV 2018”, organized by Mar Athanasius College of Engineering Alumni Association (MACEAA) Kuwait chapter, was conducted on 18th & 19th January 2018 at Indian Central School, Jleeb al Shuyoukh, Kuwait. Sargotsav is an event organized to provide a venue for the children of KEF to demonstrate their artistic talents.

Tight competitions were done in all items include Painting, Solo dance, Light Music, Poetry Recitation, Elocution, Fancy dress, etc and also the widely acclaimed GROUP SONG, GROUP DANCE and ALUMNI SHOW events. More than 400 children in Kindergarten, Sub Junior, Junior & Senior categories were participated in 29 various competitions in four stages. Painting, Elocution, and Light Music competitions was conducted on 18th Thursday evening and all the remaining competitions were conducted on 19th Friday.

Prizes were distributed to the winners on the same day itself during the closing ceremony after conclusion of all competition events. Mr K. G. Abraham, Managing Director, NBTC, and other dignitaries were joined with Mr V. K. Mathews at the valedictory function. The Photography Exhibition has been a memorable event too. Defending champions Mace (Mar Athanasius College of Engineering) once again grabbed the champions trophy while Thrissur Engineering College (TEC) and Keralite Engineers Association (KEA) remains 1st and 2nd runner up respectively. Irene Anna Lins, Aparna Sudheer Nair and Raga Kannan were selected as Sarga Pratibhas in Sub Junior, Junior and Senior category.
