FAIPS-DPS resuscitates Poetry Recitation

Sunday, February 4, 2018

Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words. To reiterate this, 13th Interschool Choral Recitation Competition was organized by Don Bosco Past Pupils Association on 26th January at Don Bosco School. The recital excelled in rhythm, mood, diction and expressions. Students of Faips-Dps showcased their skills and secured first positions in both Junior and Senior Category and finally bagged the coveted Rolling Trophy for the 2nd consecutive year.

The competition was held to provide students the chance to cultivate an appreciation for poetry while honing their public speaking and memorization skills. Students recited poems and they were judged on inflection, accuracy and expressions by the eminent judges Mr. Jeffrey Mcdevitt and Dr Ivan Ivandv. The momentous achievement earned the school the glittering and prestigious Rolling trophy while the students took home individual plaques and certificates.

It must be acknowledged that a huge credit goes to the English teachers for their tireless and dedicated efforts. Nothing would have been possible without the guidance and support of the Principal, Ms Anju Dheman who always remains a beacon of inspiration.
