Kuwaiti charm, Bollywood chutzpah and raw talent all came together during the musical evening organized by the management of Salmiya Indian Model School on the eve of India’s 69th Republic Day.

The management left no stone unturned to ensure an evening of fulsome entertainment for the staff, students and parents of SIMS by inviting the heartthrob of Bollywood singing, Mubarak Al Rashed.
The program was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Mr. Aijaz Sarfaraz, CEO Sahara Air conditioners.

The celebrations began with some fabulous singing by the staff and students of SIMS. It was an opportunity for a few closet singers to shed their inhibitions and showcase their hidden talents as well as a golden chance for all aspiring singers to prove their flair for singing. And what was on the plate? A pleasant medley of all-time Bollywood favorites and English and pop music.

After some really pleasant surprises, came the showstopper of the evening- Mr. Mubarak. With the audience swaying and clapping to an array of legendary Bollywood songs like Mera joota hai Japani, the ever-green songs of Bollywood bigwigs Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan , he roused the auditorium to such a feverish pitch that there was not a single adult or child sitting in his seat.

The musical extravaganza came to a close with Sahara Air conditioners presenting the performers with tokens of gifts.
