KCMTYS organized Divya Sangitholsavam

Kuwait Centre Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam (KCMTYS), to commemorate the Birth Centenary Celebration of His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan (Padma Bhushan Recipient) organized Divya Sangitholsavam which was held on 2nd February 2018 Friday at NECK Church & Parish Hall.

The meeting was chaired by KCMTYS President Rev. Prince Korah (Vicar, Kuwait St. James Mar Thoma Church). The programs for the evening started with an opening prayer led by Rev. Sunil A. John (Vicar, Kuwait St. Johns Mar Thoma Church). Mr. Mathew M Thomas (Vice President, KCMTYS) welcomed the gathering.

The inauguration was done with lighting the traditional lamp by the Vicars of the various Mar Thoma Churches in Kuwait and officials of KCMTYS. Ms. Dhanya Mary Alexander (Lady Secretary, KCMTYS) led the Bible reading followed by the Presidential address by Rev. Prince Korah. Rev. Bobby Mathew (Vicar, Kuwait St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church) shared a brief insight into the life of His Grace The Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan followed by a short video clip prepared exclusively for the occasion.

Kuwait St. Johns MTC Choir led the song during the offertory followed by a prayer led by Rev Biju Sam (Vicar, Ahmadi Mar Thoma Church). The proceeds from the offetory would be donated to the Project of Birth Centenary Celebration (‘’Navodaya Movement’’ - For the Upliftment of the Transgender Community). Rev. V. T. Yesudasan (Vicar, Kuwait St. Peters Mar Thoma Church) delivered the felicitation.

The occasion was also graced by the presence of Rev.C.V.Mathew (former Vicar, Ahmadi Mar Thoma Church). The musical evening kick started off with song rendered by esteemed singer Mrs. Celin Jose followed by the Choirs of Ahmadi MTC, Kuwait St. James, St.Johns, St. Peters and St. Thomas MTC. Mr. Manoj Abraham (Secretary, KCMTYS) delivered the Vote of Thanks followed by prayer and benediction led by Rev. V. T. Yesudasan. Mr. Cyril B. Mathew was the emcee for the evening.
