North Kanara Association – Kuwait organized “Easter Ball”

North Kanara Association – Kuwait organized their annual event, for a cause – the “Easter Ball” on Friday, 6th April, 2018, at Rajdhani Palace, where community folk from different cultures, came together to celebrate the joy of Easter.

To reinforce their cultural identity, the event began with a prayer by Ms. Sharon Carvalho followed by the lighting of the lamp and cutting of the cake by the Executive Board of NKA-K. The President, Mr. John Fernandes delivered the welcome speech in which he appreciated the support and hard work of each committee member for their dedicated effort.

The euphoria of the event, offered a wonderful opportunity to children and adults alike, to spend a day with lively and high-spirited music and lots of entertainment and fun. The dynamic DJ Cheslee D’Souza and energetic and talented Emcee Jenny D’Souza enthralled the audience.

The Talent show for children, initiated by Ms. Marita Miranda - Event Coordinator, dance contest of Cha Cha and Jive for adults, various exciting games & spot prizes were the highlights of the event which added to the merriment of the evening. The great spirit and enthusiasm of the audience gave a feeling of warmth and oneness.

A sumptuous buffet was opened after a blessing offered by Ms. Tania Noronha.

Any event is incomplete without the vote of thanks rendered by Mrs. Grace Fernandes – Joint Secretary of NKA-K. On behalf of the association she expressed her gratitude to the most valued sponsors namely Agility Logistics, Mr. Mohamed Akbar, Owner of Khyber’s Restaurant, Mr. Paul Lewis, BEC, Mr. Mani Shankar, Director, Aramco Group, Mr. Mohamed Sadiq, Managing Partner, SAMCO, and Mr. Jagdish Shahani, Managing Director, Al Othman Al Bisher Company for their valuable support, and thanked each and every person including the audience who helped, supported and contributed in making the event a successful one.

“United to Serve” being the motto, the Association since its conception has successfully carried out their charitable works and has rendered help to various institutions and individuals who are in dire need of help.

The program ended to the tune of a devotional hymn sung by Mili Fernandes.
