Embassy of India celebrated Yoga Day in Kuwait

The International Day of Yoga was celebrated in Kuwait with participation of large number of people from various walks of life. The Yoga Day celebration held at the Indian Embassy auditorium was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Kuwait HE Sri Jeeva Sagar. KNPC Chairman Jamal Al-Nouri was the chief guest.

Large number of people yoga enthusiasts including prominent personalities, Kuwaiti citizens, students and members from the Indian community took part in the Yoga day celebration.

Various Indian Associations performed Yoga sessions at the event.

India celebrates the International Yoga Day on a grand scale after 177 nations, including the State of Kuwait and 47 nations belonging to the Organization of Islamic Conference co-sponsored the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal to observe June 21 as the International Yoga Day during the UN General Assembly in September, 2014.
