Kuwait Tamilosai Poets Association Celebrated “Teachers Day!-2018”

Kuwait Tamilosai Poets Association (KTPA) convened their 149th monthly literary meeting to celebrate “Teachers Day-2018” in rejoice, at “Muthamizh Arignar Kalignar Ninaivarankam” (FOKE Hall,Block-3,Mangaf,Kuwait) on Friday-7th Septamber,2018.The meeting commenced at 10:30 am with the recitation of Tamil Anthem with dedication.

The meeting was effectively presided over by the Communication Secretary Poet Pattukkottai Balu, who was accompanied by EC Member Poet Aaroor Sivaraman as Front stager on the Dais. KTPA’s President Mr.Robert Rethinasami delivered the welcome address and sang the theme song with inspiration. KTPA’s Singers mesmerized the audience with their sweet musical songs and the Poets intonated beautiful poems that fascinated all .Scintillating notes on Global Literacy Day & International Tourism Day were delivered by Writer Kollal H.Jose and Eng.B.Sekar respectively. Praiseworthy notes of remembrance on Veteran Tamil Reformer Late.Periyar E.V.Ramasami and the Eminent Tamil Poet-“Mahakavi” Subramaniya Bharathiyar were orated by Mr.Siddharthan and Mr.Vasu Ramanathan respectively.

On account of “Teachers Day-2018” a number of Kuwait living Tamil Teachers were felicitated with honorary awards as an emotional acknowledgement of their valuable selfless-tireless services. The awardees are : 1.”Senthamizh Kalai Mandram”, 2.Mrs.Lavanya Loganathan, 3.Eng.Muruganantham Poosapathi, 4.Mrs.Vijaya Priya Ramanan, and 5.Mrs.Davamani Maruthavanan .Moreover, A special award was presented to Mrs.Thamaraiselvi Raja for her humanitarian service and patience in educating special children with “Autism” disorder. Awards were also announced for “Nandavanam-Family Association”,”K-Tic”,”MISK Association” and Poet. Azhakar Shanmugam-Kuwait Maathamizh Marabu Paa Pattarai during the event.

An interesting oratorical debate on the topic “Which will really aid the growth of students-Whether a Teachers’ strictness or solace towards students?” was conducted to celebrate The Teachers Day. Mrs.Josephine Robert served as the Jury for the debate with Mrs.Rumia Justin argued for “solace”side which was counter attacked well by Eng.Purushothaman defended for “strictness” side. KTPA’s Honorary President Poet Sadhik Batcha delivered a well-wishing note for the teachers and Poet Sivaraman gave the vote of thanks. The arrangements for the Program were accomplished by Custodian Poet U.K.Sivakumar and Mr.Ashok to hit the event. The meeting concluded with a delicious lunch served to all in the end.
