MoI steps up campaign against illegals, traffic rules violators

The Ministry of Interior has intensified its campaign against those who violated the Residency Law and traffic regulations.

Ministry conducted a series of campaigns in various governorates in a bid to prevent crimes, especially among the youths who consume drugs and alcohol and then drive under the influence.

The report said that the campaigns focused on minors who drive vehicles, particularly those below 14 years old. Those arrested were referred to the Juvenile Public Prosecution and their vehicles impounded for a period of not less than two months while citations were issued to the owners of vehicles who allowed the children to drive.
