FAIPS-DPS organized Comfest’ 2018 – An Experience

The fulfillment of a learning process happens when one is able to apply what is taught and learnt through practical experience. FAIPS-DPS provided a platform for students of Commerce stream to have a wide range of options in running a minor food business.

COMFEST-2018 proved to be a major learning experience for students to understand what is required of those looking to enter the field of business and commerce. The Commerce Festival conducted on 3rd November,2018 was designed for students to have a first-hand involvement in business practices. It included students managing different stalls and selling a variety of food of different cuisines for guests and visitors. The experience taught them varied skills of budgeting , cost management, sales and marketing , time management, team work, ethics of business, calculation of profit and loss, etc. The enthusiastic participation of the visitors added to the zeal of the participants. The event was a grand success with the students receiving a hands-on experience which wouldn’t have been possible without the mentoring from their teachers and immense support from the Principal, Ms.Anju Dheman.
