Proposal submitted by Kuwait Municipality calls for burial of expatriates in the governorate which they live in, which is to be determined by the address on the Civil ID.

However, according to local media Al-Anba daily, the non-Muslims are not covered by this proposal. They will continue to be buried at the Sulaibikhat cemetery. The burial of Muslim expatriates will be distributed in the following governorates: Hawally, Farwaniya and the Al- Jahra governorates will be buried in the Jahra cemetery while those living in the Capital governorate will be buried at the Sulaibikhat cemetery and those from Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer in the Sabhan Cemetery.
