KEF’s Helping Hand for the Flood Distressed

Kuwait Engineers’ Forum (KEF), one ofthe largest associations of professionals in Kuwait has come forward to lend a helping hand in the re-construction of Kerala state ravagedby the floods in August 2018. Being an organisation of over one thousand four hundred engineers holding key positions in reputed public as well as private enterprises in Kuwait, KEF is well recognized as an importantcontributor to the overall development of the State of Kuwait.

Inresponse to the appeal made by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Mr. Pinarai Vijayan, KEF members made voluntary contributions and amassed an amount of Rs. 50 Lakhs towards the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. The drafts for the amount werehanded over to NORKA director, Dr.B Ravi Pillai on 9thNovember 2018 in thefunction held at The United Indian School, Abassiyawhich was attended by a large cross section of Indians living in Kuwait.

Incidentally, KEF, a non-profitorganization founded in 1990 as the apex body of eight alumni associations of Engineering colleges, has served the community immensely by conducting technical seminars, medical camps and various cultural events through the years. It has always made meaningful endowments towards social causes in the past and is committed to do soin thefuturetoo, whenever the need arises.

KEF was represented at the function by its General Convenor and other office bearers, as well as Presidents and Chairpersons of it’sconstituent alumni associations, viz, AECK, CETA, KEA, MACE, NITCAA, NSSCE, TKMCE and TEC.
