Coast Guard officer died and five Indian technicians injured

A Coast Guard officer died and eight other men including a Major and five Indian technicians were injured when a coast guard boat capsized while leaving Sabbiya Coast Guard Station on Friday, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.

The boat capsized while it was leaving Subbiya Station resulting in the death of Abdullah Al-Failakawi, it added.

The marine rescue and coast guard personnel rushed to the boat and recovered the injured crew members.

The martyr was given the official ceremony for the funeral in appreciation of his role in performing the duty entrusted to him with all sincerity and ability.
