Move to replace 160,000 expatriates in Private sector with Kuwaitis

The governmental authorities are preparing a mechanism for the recruitment of 160,000 Kuwaitis in the private sector to replace with expatriates.

According to Al Anba daily report, authorities are planning this in cooperation with foreign and internal scholarship authorities and the mechanism will be applied within five years.

This will be a comprehensive and strategic mechanism for the replacement of expatriates with Kuwaitis in the technical and scientific fields.

The objective is to encourage Kuwaitis to pursue technical specializations that the local labor market needs, instead of literary and administrative studies.
