"Christmas, known as 'Noël' in French, 'Navidad' in Spanish, 'Natale' in Italian, 'Natal' in Portuguese, and 'Nollaig' in Gaelic, is a festival celebrated on the 25th of December every year to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. During this season, there are numerous activities to engage in, fostering a sense of joy and togetherness.

Traditionally, people decorate the tree with love, infusing it with vibrant colors. Harmonious singing of Christmas carols entertains and uplifts spirits. Acts of kindness are extended to loved ones and those in need, reflecting the spirit of giving. Spending quality time with friends and family is a cherished aspect of the holiday season.

Around the world, unique traditions and activities mark the festive season. In Japan, people enjoy white sponge cake adorned with cream and strawberries, while KFC has become a national custom for Christmas meals. In Switzerland, the tradition of advent calendars, featuring daily treats leading up to the grand one on Christmas Eve, has spread globally. In Greece, the decoration of trees and boats, linked to the return of men from sea voyages, has endured for centuries.

In France, Catholics attend Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve as a sacred tradition. Similarly, in India, Midnight Mass is a common practice, accompanied by the adornment of houses with trees and stars made of wooden frameworks and glossy papers. The exchange of sweets, such as fruit cakes, adds a delightful touch to the celebrations.

Let us embrace the spirit of this wonderful holiday with joy, leaving sorrow behind. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in 2024."
