Avanti’s authentic cuisine in a scintillating ambiance

Food has always delighted mankind for ages and when there is variety of cuisines in one particular place it brings joy to us. Avanthi Palace restaurant in Salmiya is the place that adds a unique, authentic and delicious offering of cuisines.

The steps leading to Avanti palace is neatly decorated with plants and amazing metal sculptures, which will give you a pleasant impression about the restaurant. As we step down we are welcomed by grand entrance with the lobby, restaurant located immediately in front of you and reception located at the side. The lobby is decorated with a huge Chandelier, an antique clock and a lovely aquarium. At the entrance of the restaurant we find two huge traditional lamps on either side to greet us. On the other side of the steps is the coffee bar, the banquet hall and the conference hall.  Banquet hall has a capacity of accommodating 90people.

Once at the reception we were greeted by the captain and were quickly escorted to the spacious dining area. As my kid was fascinated by the beautiful fish in the aquarium, I stayed back at the lobby for some time and enjoyed the ambience. The restaurants decor and ambience is very contemporary, there is another lovely blue aquarium inside the restaurant which can be enjoyed while dining. Cabins are provided on either side of the restaurant with can accommodate 2 to 10 persons.

I loved the menu selections and the way it offers variety of cuisines from Chinese to Indian, continental and Arabic. The steward guided and recommended us with the best cuisines in each section with the required quantities to order. We began with Manchow and Sweet corn soup.  For appetizers  we ordered Mix platter (5 Different Salad), Crispy Veg(Chinese) - A very popular starter in Chinese cuisine, this crisp, delicious dish uses a variety of vegetables fried and coated in a mixture of schezuan sauce, spring onions and garlic giving it a unique flavour. , Roasted Chilly chicken (Chinese) –chicken fried with a lot of onions and chillis and served with capsicum, tastes wonderful.

For main course we ordered Chicken Sizzlers with Pepper - Delicious and wholesome chicken sizzler served with vegetables and French fries, Chicken Dum Biryani - chicken and Basmati rice cooked on Dum over slow heat, Chicken Amritsari , Chicken Patiyala and Roti Basket (Assorted). Chicken Amritsari was  spicy and creamy, cooked in a tandoor, Chicken Patiyala   came as a surprise as we could not guess what it was till we tasted it. A creamy chicken dish in which chicken stuffed inside an egg omelette roll. It was one of the best dishes I ever had.

Vegetarians also have variety to choose.  We ordered Shote Makkai Ka Masala- A tangy combination of Baby Corn cooked in Indian flavours which seems to be a  great combination with rotis.

To top it all, the   Ideal Gadbad was the best. This delicious hotchpotch of different ice-cream flavours, fruits and nuts, served in a tall transparent glass with a long spoon so that you can really dig into it. Every spoonful of heaven tickles your taste-buds and awakens your senses. Presentation of all the dishes was excellent. The shining brass basket, in which the Dal Tadka was served, was really eye-catching.   As I was enjoying the delicious cuisines the steward was happy to entertain my kid. He took her to the aquarium and she really enjoyed her time watching fish. A perfect restaurant to take your kids along.

An authentic cuisine in this ambiance will leave you with an everlasting impression. Here every Dining experience is exciting, memorable and very satisfying. A separate banquet hall makes Avanti palace a perfect place to host your special events.
