Furniture to take from Kuwait / Dubai to India

Is it advisable to buy furniture from Kuwait and shipping it to India on a 20' or 40' container.

I want to take it our new Apartment in Alwaye, Kerala. As I have seen we get good furnitures here in Kuwait. In India the same kind of furniture is very costly. Also is it advisable to take electrical and plumbing items from here. Also let me know the cusotms duty that will be levied in India.
