Influence of Social Networking in day-today Life

Social networking has come as “Great Revolution” in our social lives. Once people who were afraid or shy of sharing their thoughts or making friendship are now interacting and socializing through these sites. It is very use full where we can connect our friends, and share views in any kind of people. Internet is one of the most popular means of the communication. The first SNS was Classmate.com which is started in 1995 in United States.

Social networking is the rage of this age. Social networks are formed when people sharing certain interest including hobbies, religion, politics etc. coalesce into groups or communities. Most familiar names are Facebook, You Tube, Orkut, Twitter, Flickr. etc. which we hear about them on TV, or of course in the Internet. New generation all of us might be a member of even one these “communities”

In modern times it refers more to online communities because this is where most social networks tend to exist. To facilitate such social networking there are many websites.

Such sites help people to keep in touch with each other and also connect with long lost friends.

Net working sites are many kinds such as professional oriented, Interests oriented and socialize oriented. People are interested in socialize oriented networks. In these sites we can find everything such as activities of friends, chat, watch profiles of members, share pictures with others, link music, post articles or videos and comments on people’s profiles etc. which is why they are aptly called social sites.

The mere fact that we are member a social network means we represent the millions who are spreading of information. These social networks allow communication and interaction with friends and colleagues and others within the same or different career or industry. The purpose for such networks, besides social communication and interaction, is the networking among specific industries in order to gain new clients or contracts. Facebook is probably the most recognizable and famous of social networking sites.

Definitely, it's cheaper to use online social networking for both personal and business use because most of it is usually free. While personal use is rather simple for anyone, the business functions are underestimated by many. In a social networking site, you can scout out potential customers and target markets with just a few clicks and keystrokes, adding a boost to your usual advertisements and promotional strategies. It lets you learn about their likes and dislikes, which is tremendous. If you want to fine tune your business, then this is the way to go, whether on a budget or not.

Social networking sites also have trouble some side. One has to be careful about revealing personal information and sharing photographs with strangers. These can be used for sinister purpose and may lead to dangerous situations. We are putting out information about our name, location, age, gender, and many other types of information that you may not want to let others know. Most people say be careful, but no one can be certain at any given time, As long as people can know who you exactly are, then some can find way to do you in.

Social networking has been replacing passive activities such as watching TV and playing computer games among people. Thus they are helping to develop creative behavior, because people are using their brain often by sending messages to their friends and by posting their feelings and news in their profile pages. With the development of technologies the range of advantages are also extending. These days we can see it as an example of social networking services which help us to be stayed connected with our friends, obtaining necessary skills and engaging in political to use our rights.

The world getting closer everyday and everyone wants to be connected. Static blogs and websites are losing popularity. World is moving more towards “Information streams”. The information comes to users rather than users have to make effort to get information.

The feature of networking looks very promising but still it has a deal with the problems associated with it.
