Tourism: The new gold

Tourism is a short duration travel for different purposes such as recreation, business and leisure. Tourism does not only refer to travelling to different countries, but can also refer to going to a different place in the same country. The world tourism organization refers to tourism as people travelling to and staying in the places outside their usual environment for not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes. Tourism is very beneficial for many people and the government.

There are many different types of tourism such as cruise shipping, winter tourism which includes places like Austria, Bulgaria, Germany and Switzerland, mass tourism, which includes travelling as groups, wildlife tourism, which is an eco friendly and animal friendly tourism which shows their nature, wildlife, habitats and way of living, religious tourism, where people travel individually or in groups for pilgrimage, or missionary purposes. culinary tourism, which is experiencing the food of the country, region or area, cultural tourism, the subset of tourism concerned with a country or region's culture, specifically the lifestyle of the people in those geographical areas, the history of those people, their art, architecture, religion(s), and other elements that helped shape their way of life, etc.

Tourism is also closely linked to the development of a nation as a whole as it is closely linked with many other sectors. Tourism calls for improvement and facilities in a lot of other sectors. Tourism is beneficial for the economy of a country as along with the tourism sector, sectors such as transportation like taxis and buses, accommodation such as hotels and resorts, places like amusement parks, zoos, theatres, shopping malls, souvenir shops and more.

A place is considered a touristic spot for many reasons. It may be of historical importance, may have political significance, may be well known for something, may be the place of living of a famous personality, or may even be a place with natural scenic beauty.

In India, over the years, tourism has gained a lot of economic importance as it is growing rapidly. India is world famous for its large medical tourism sector. Chennai, Delhi, Agra and Kolkata are the most important and famous tourist destination for foreigners in India.

Even if air transport and ground transport are commendable in India, hotels and ATM penetration are fields that can be improved.

People enjoy tourism for many reasons, the main being a break from your routine and usually stressful life. It gives u a glance of a place u have never been to, or one you have always dreamt of. It shows you the lifestyles of people from different parts of the world, along with their cultures, habits, food, dances, music and what not. It shows u how different two people of the same world can be and even how different two people in different parts of the same country can be. It allows you to explore, enjoy and relax.

Tourism is the one of the best ways to take a break and is really enjoyable as a tourism experience is always a terrific experience.
