Orientation at Scientific Excellence Academy 2018-19 at Salmiya

Competitive Exam Coaching Centers are very common in India. But here in Kuwait, it is difficult to find a center which offers coaching for students aspiring to answer IIT/NEET exams back in India.

I would like to consider myself fortunate to be able to attend IIT Foundation classes at SEAK for the past 2 years. So, what is SEAK all about? The full form of SEAK is Scientific Excellence Academy Kuwait, which is located at Block 10 at Salmiya. This is another successful venture of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, established to create awareness amongst students about competitive exams as well as to guide students to achieve their goals.

SEAK offers a unique IIT Foundation programme aimed at students of 7th to 10th classes.By enrolling in these classes, a student’s conceptual clarity of the fundamentals in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (Biology for class 9&10)and Reasoning will be strengthened. The course and tests are designed in a way that inculcates the habit of application of concepts thereby paving way for effective learning.

The orientation for the new batch of students for academic year 2018-19 was held on 7th April 2018 at the SEAK Academy at Salmiya.A lot of aspiring children from different Indian schools in Kuwait with their enthusiastic parents attended the orientation.

The very enthusiastic Co-ordinator of SEAK Mrs. Tessy explained in detail regarding the IIT Foundation classes.

The objectives of the IIT Foundation course are

•To make the students understand and master basic concepts in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

•To focus on encouraging students to apply the concepts learnt to real-life situations. The programme will encourage school goers to look beyond textbooks for learning.

•To help not only to understand better what is taught in regular school classes, but also to develop the acumen which will give them a distinct edge over the rest of their peers. This results in better performance in board or final exams.

•To groom students by providing inputs on Reasoning skills, Speed Maths, and Communication Skills.

•To help students prepare for various talent search exams and Olympiads.

Every year SEAK acknowledges and rewards its outstanding students with appreciation certificates. The following are the top three best performers of the session 2017-2018 who received appreciation certificates.
