Friends of CRY Club (FOCC) organized CRYwalk 2019

Friends of CRY Club (FOCC) organized the 8th edition of the annual CRYwalk for children on 29th of Mar, which saw a good turnout of participants, including very young children. Two separate CRYwalks were held, in Salmiya and Abu Halifa, on the same day. The weather turned out to be pleasant, with a thin cloud cover preventing it from becoming hot.

Among the participating children, three were under 3 years of age. There were also many first-time participants who joined-in after learning about the walk on the spot. The total collective distance walked by all was 238 km, at an average of 4.25 km per child. The maximum distance walked this year was 11.3 km by a boy and 8 km by a girl. The record so far has been 25km and 16.5 km respectively.

FOCC organizes 3 annual events for children – CRYcket for children under 14 years, CRYchess and CRYwalk for children of all ages. Our next event, the CRYchess is coming on Friday, 3rd May. The registration form and rules of the tournament are available at our website www.focckwt.org. All event updates and pictures can also be seen.
