Ramadan lantern holds a special place in the hearts of people during the observance of Ramadan. Fanous, as it is famously called, was seen decorating the premises of Bhavan’s Smart Indian School on account of a special competition conducted on the lantern designing. The active and creative young minds were given a platform to delve into innovation with their beautiful and amazing handmade work of art in the form of lanterns. The announcement to create lanterns in commemoration of the holy month of Ramadan was done a week ago, and the students showed great enthusiasm in creating and carrying them to school. The aim of the competition was to bring out the creative side of the students and to give Ramadan a more festive feel through creations.

The day of the competition was filled with decorative and glowing lanterns in every nook and corners signifying the importance of the season. The colourful and dazzling patterns of light which emitted from the lanterns of all sizes and shapes invited a special appreciation from the onlookers. The ceilings were adorned with unique tradition and heritage behind the lanterns. The jury inspected each class, and the winners were awarded with certificates. The traditional symbol of Ramadan saw its wonderful depiction on the day.
