Oman Air cancels services to major Indian cities

Oman Air has announced that they are cancelling selected services to major cities in India till August end. The airlines informed that the services were cancelled due to the grounding of Boeing 737 Max planes.

It is reported that Oman Air has cancelled 877 services from July 7 to August 31.

Services to Kozhikode, Mumbai, Hyderabd, Jaipur, Goa, Jeddah, Dubai, Kathmandu,Colombo, Amman, Kuwait, Medina, Doha, Salalah, Riyad and Athens were cancelled. Meanwhile, Oman Air has assured rebooking facility for the passengers who had booked their tickets in the cancelled services.

The airlines asked the passengers who planned to travel in the period till August 31 to confirm their flight status with the customer care.

The news is NOT fake! most ticket issuers dont know ..check from official OMAN AIR ..it happened to my family when we reached airport they said flight has been cancelled and rescheduled to next day . they also said that they tried to contact us but couldn''t reach us so they mailed it to travel agent and since it was friday our travel agent failed to see it and inform us.. JUST CUZ YOUR FLIGHT ISN''T AFFECTED STOP SAYING ITS FAKE NEWS

I called Oman air ways.the sales Manager told that fake news.Dont believe that kind of fake new on social media,My self confirmed my ticket on 6th Aug and return on 13th.

News is partially correct. they cancelled some schedule only. I booked the ticket from Calicut, Night 8.pm flight. now they cancelled this schedule and i changed to morning 8.55am flight.

should correct the content of the above news. Lot of calls getting to travel agents.

Since I had a booking, I rang up to Oman Air Kuwait office, they said the news is fake and ensured my trip to Calicut in mid of August is confirmed.

As has been mentioned 877 services has been cancelled. It doesn''t mean all services has been cancelled. The list of routes cancelled has been very clearly mentioned in the airline website. You may go through the same to see if your flight is among the cancelled ones. The sad part is they are not offering any refunds only rescheduling.

Total 877 services cancelled. If your route is not cancelled then you are lucky. All are not cancelled. As mentioned by Muneer the details of the route cancelled are they n the Oman air site.
