A police impersonator kidnapped five Indian women, driving them to a deserted place and attempting to rape one of them, local Arabic newspaper Al-Rai daily reported.

According to the daily, the five women were riding in a taxi and the suspect driving in a civilian vehicle flashed his fake ‘military ID’ and told the women they are violators of the law and ordered them to get in his car pretending to take them to a police station.

The man then drove them to a deserted location and started molesting them. The women shouted for help and managed to escape from him and went to the main road and went to the Abu Halifa Police Station and filed a complaint against the impersonator. Securitymen are looking for the culprit, daily added.
