Three year jail for Kabd car accident case

The Juvenile Misdemeanor Court sentenced a Kuwaiti youth to three year imprisonment for killing eight individuals and injuring one after running over them with his vehicle in Kabad area.

The incident occurred in May 2019 when a collision occurred between three 4X4 vehicles. When people gathered to provide support, the accused did not see them and he hit and ran over them with his car.

Eight of the victims (three citizens, three Saudi nationals, one Bedoun and one unidentified

person) passed away and one individual was injured.

shibi Wednesday, August 21, 2019 @Tony- It is an accident case, the death was caused unintentionally. Even if it proved it was due to negligence of the driver, the charge is manslaughter, not murder. While the incident is unfortunate, accidents do happen and it can happen to anyone.
Tony Wednesday, August 21, 2019 Only in Kuwait can a local get away 3 years jail time for killing 8 people. In other words, the cost of taking away an individual''s life is 4 and half months.
