Family Visa salary cap increased to 500 KD

Interior Ministry issued a new decision which stipulates the minimum salary to obtain a Family Visa to 500 KD. Earlier the salary limit for Family visa was 450 KD.

Those who are already in the family visa and not meeting this condition, have to get special approval from the director-General of the General Department of Residency Affairs while renewing the residency, it added.

Some of the categories including Legal advisors, Judges, Doctors, Pharmacists, Financial and economic advisors, Engineers etc are exempted from this condition.

akr Wednesday, August 28, 2019 hello editor, please remove this extra added statement from you side as "Those who are already in the family visa and not meeting this condition, have to get special approval from the director-General of the General Department." - - - -. actually in KUWAIT TIMES clearly mentioned as "The decision added the director general of residency affairs can exempt those already in Kuwait or born here from the salary condition" so it means those who already here for them it will not affect.

Vipin Saturday, August 24, 2019 I am really sad after hearing this news. I already applied for family visa just a month back based on my work permit (450 KD) and I got an entry visa for my family . They right now at Kuwait and just now finished medical and finger print and waiting for its result. Could any one tell me whether it is possible to get a family visa in this situation. Some people told me that it is not applicable for me for this year and it will applicable only at the time of renewal. I already invested lot of money for flat and furniture. Please reply me if some one know the real thing which I can do now.
Baig Saturday, August 24, 2019 I don''t think this will effect people already in Kuwait, my friend''s salary is 350KD from long time and he is stamping residence for this family every year. In my view this may be problem for new family visa but still there is option for special approval.
