What is it to be an Inspiration ?

My sister, often used to tell me, that, God gifted me with the qualities of a teacher. She always used to state, that I was destined to be a teacher. I would always wonder, why, she would say so ?

What did she find in me? What was that she saw in me, which I couldn’t see? What was it ? Was it how I used to explain Mathematics Concepts on the board to my imaginary classroom? Or was it my interest to ask my sister to take videos of me explaining a topic, so that I can upload onto my own YouTube Educational Channel. Would that be the reason?

My dad gifted my sister a whiteboard, on her 12th Birthday. She’s a great teacher. Whatever she was taught at class, she would come back home and explain it to me, considering me to be her student. Though it was all, way beyond my understanding, I understood what she taught. She could explain complex topics so well, that, a child like me could understand. Watching and closely observing my sister, I learnt. I learnt the beauty of teaching. My sister was my first inspiration. She taught me how teaching could being a change.

I too observing my sister, started teaching in my living room to an imaginary class. I felt that through teaching I could educate myself and bring about a change in young children. When I say teaching, I’m not just referring to subjects, I’m actually taking about, a lot other areas. A teacher holds a lot of influence in one’s life. They have the ability to change and bring about a light in one. They can make or destroy a person.

My sister used to tell me how she was inspired by on of her professors in her college. During some periods, when not a lot of them attended class, the professors never showed interest to teach to such a small number. But there was this one professor, who didn’t mind about the number of students who attended , rather focused on the ones who attended and taught them with passion. He made the complex subjects seem so easy that it could be appreciated.

As I conclude my write-up, what I would like to advise those who love teaching is that, teach with love, teach with passion. Teaching is an art which can bring about a change. It’s a powerful tool. Use it in the right way.

Thanking you.
